Meet Zach and his family as we share his inspiring rockSTAR story and how Melodic Caring Project has provided joy, healing and a sense of belonging to his whole family – reminding us all of the healing power of music, connection and family.

Zach has been a rockSTAR with MCP since April of 2024. How to start his introduction? Zach is a spark plug! From our first 1:1 Session to Zach’s electrifying presence on stage at our gala, he continues to amaze us with his energy, joy and spirit. Zach is nothing short of remarkable!

The Melodic Caring Project brings music to those who need it most, providing mental and emotional support through live-streamed concerts, Music Therapy, Songwriting Sessions and personalized therapeutic experiences. For Zach, these moments are more than just entertainment; they are a lifeline.

Over the past two years, we’ve watched Zach and his family endure terrible surgeries, unexpected procedures, countless needle pokes, frequent doctor visits, and brutal recoveries but through it all they’ve leaned on each other to help them through.

What is the MCP Fan Club?

Being a part of our MCP Fan Club is the best way to give! Our “Fans” are MCP supporters who give on a regular basis through a sustaining membership. As a Fan, you provide steady, reliable support to our mission allowing us to decrease fundraising expenses and focus more on our programs and the kids and families we serve.

Our goal is to find 1,000 True Fans. WHY? If we can find 1,000 True Fans to give as little as $30/mth (only $1/day) our organization will finally have the sustainability it needs to cover 100% of our program costs.

How does Fan Club Giving work?

It’s simple; your contribution is automatically charged from your bank account or credit/debit card each month. Your membership continues uninterrupted but you can increase, decrease or stop your monthly gift at any time.

It has been a joy and a pleasure to spend time with Zach’s family and it’s the only time we’ve ever had 4 generations on a single 1:1 Session with Zach’s great grandma, grandma, mom and Zach all there listening to songs together!

During his 1:1 Music Therapy Sessions, Zach worked with Levi to co-write an original song helping Zach to process his emotions, tell his story, and transform his experience into something deeply meaningful, healing, and empowering. Check it out here.

Zach’s energy, humor and positivity are infectious and have lightened the mood on many of our Weekly Group Sessions and we guarantee he will lighten and brighten yours as well.

Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the incredible power of these rockSTAR families and have been told repeatedly that MCP has “become family” to them.

In the 24 months since Zach became a rockSTAR, we’ve provided him with 150 programs including: 66 1:1 Music Therapy Sessions, 40 Group Music & Art Therapy Sessions, 30 personal Song Requests, 3 Therapeutic Songwriting Sessions and 11 Livestream Performances.

Despite isolation, over the past 2 years, Melodic has been able to provide ongoing connective and therapeutic experiences bringing hope and joy to Zach.

We’ve formed a lifelong bond and friendship with Zach and feel so honored to be able to share his inspiring rockSTAR Story with the world.

These moments truly highlight the incredible bond between our rockSTARS and our Melodic Caring Project team and family. They exemplify our mission, the power of music and the beautiful impact that community and support can have through empathy, compassion and genuine connection.
