Meet Theo and his family as we share his inspiring rockSTAR story and how Melodic Caring Project has provided healing and friendship during some of his darkest times – reminding us all of the healing power of music and moments of connection.
Theo has been a rockSTAR with MCP since July of 2023. Over the past two years, he has endured invasive surgeries, numerous procedures and a year of near-complete quarantine. During a 1:1 Session after Theo’s big surgery we asked him how he was doing and his response took us by surprise: “Levi, I am thriving,” he said. That moment set the tone for our relationship with Theo.
The Melodic Caring Project brings music to those who need it most, providing mental and emotional support through live-streamed concerts, Music Therapy and personalized therapeutic experiences. For Theo, these moments are more than just entertainment; they are a lifeline.

Getting to know Theo has been a joy and a wonderful learning experience. Theo is an old soul who thinks and reflects deeply but also has the wisdom to enjoy and make the most of every moment he’s experiencing–good or bad.
Theo’s kindness, humor and positivity worked its magic on the staff at the hospital and us as we worked with him to write an original song about his journey, his scars and his triumphs. His love of music and life is tangible and lightens the hearts of everyone around him.
Some of the most powerful aspects of Melodic Caring Project are the relationships we build with our rockSTARS and families.
In the 21 months since Theo became a rockSTAR, we’ve provided him with 52 programs including 1:1 Music Therapy Sessions, Group Music & Art Therapy, personal Song Requests, therapeutic Songwriting Sessions and Livestream Performances. Even more exciting, Theo is now an MCP Rockologist, sending songs and encouragement back to other rockSTARS.
Despite isolation, over the past 2 years, Melodic has been able to provide ongoing connective and therapeutic experiences bringing hope and joy to Theo.
We’ve formed a lifelong bond and friendship with Theo and feel so honored to be able to share his inspiring rockSTAR Story to the world.
