Melodic Caring Project Presents rockSTAR Bridgette & Madeleine’s Original Songs

“It’s Me” was written during 9 year old, Bridgette Lamont’s battle with cancer. In the midst of her treatment, Bridgette became a rockSTAR with the Melodic Caring Project (MCP). During a 1-on-1 Music Therapy session with MCP Music Therapist, Katie Conder, Bridgette was given the opportunity to write a song about her journey. Katie provided a therapeutic songwriting experience for Bridgette, walking her through the song writing process and helping her craft lyrics that allowed her to express her emotions in a healthy and positive way. The Melodic Caring Project team then produced Bridgette’s song, giving her the opportunity to record her vocals in a professional recording studio. It was a healing process for rockSTAR Bridgette that provided tremendous joy during some of her most difficult days.

“My Fairytale” is a musical story of family strength and support during the most difficult of challenges. In 2022 Madeleine Lamont’s little sister (9 year old Bridgette) was in the fight of her life, battling cancer. In the midst of her treatment, Bridgette and Madeleine became rockSTARS with the Melodic Caring Project (MCP). During a 1-on-1 Music Therapy session, MCP founder (Levi Ware) and MCP Music Therapist (Katie Conder) provided the opportunity for Madeleine to write her own song. As a sibling of a cancer warrior, Madeleine had a lot of deep emotions to express. Through conversations during the songwriting sessions Madeleine was able to express her feelings in a healthy and positive way and those thoughts inspired the lyrics for her song. The Melodic Caring Project team then produced Madeleine’s song, giving her the opportunity to record her vocals in a professional recording studio. It was a healing process for rockSTAR Madeleine that provided tremendous joy, connection and therapy to both Madeleine and Bridgette during some of their most difficult days.

After the song was recorded, producer- Michael Pedrosa, gave new life to the song by creating this pop/punk remix.
