RISE UP by Levi Ware

After an unprecedented 2 years, Rise Up (from the forthcoming EP- No Easy Way) is a message for us all, inspired by Levi’s work with the Melodic Caring Project (MCP), a Non-Profit supporting kids and families battling illness. 11 years after launching MCP, Levi continues to be inspired by the strength, courage and grace displayed by the kids and families they serve. Rise Up was written in 2019 after years of watching kids get knocked down time-after-time with health crises just to rise up time and time again. Their example of grace during crisis is a standard we can all learn from. To hold true to our beliefs. To take strength from our faith and Rise Up to make each day better, for ourselves and others, is a hallmark of these kids’ lives and an example we should all strive to demonstrate in our own.

The spirit of Rising Up is embodied in this song through its message and the combined voices of Levi Ware, the Blind Boys of Alabama and The Anointed Worshippers coming together from across the country to sing a song of resilience and hope.

YOUR DONATION MATTERS

Support Kids and Families Today

When your bones hurt and you’re tired when your hopes and your desires
Have been burned in the fire
When your head has fallen low and the shelters you would go
Don’t feel safe anymore

And you drop down to the floor
Because you just can’t stand no more

You gotta rise up there’s so much left of you, now
Rise up show ‘em what you can do and fight
You’ve got to fight
You gotta rise up with the whole world testing you ,now
Rise up it’s bringing out the best in you so fight
You’ve got to fight… Yeah

When your resolve has gotten weak and that sun begins to sink
When the evening is bleak
When the dark before the dawn just stretches on and on
And you’re there all alone

And you drop down to the floor
Because you just can’t stand no more

You gotta rise up there’s so much left of you, now
Rise up show ‘em what you can do and fight
You’ve got to fight
You gotta rise up with the whole world testing you, now
Rise up it’s bringing out the best in you so fight
You’ve got to fight

And do you hear that call the drums start to pound
You’re a warrior now, a warrior now
And do you see that light you’re a torch in the night
A warrior now, you‘re a warrior now

And you gotta rise up there’s so much left of you, now
Rise up show ‘em what you can do and fight
You’ve got to fight
Come on and rise up with the whole world testing you, now
Rise up it’s bringing out the best in you so fight
You’ve got to fight… Yeah
